Have you got the guts to step off a bridge into thin air? Challenge the girls to Sheffield Abseilingon your hen weekend, and learn to conquer your fears!
Abseiling is a vital climbing technique, but it's also an activity in its own right, If you've never tried it before, it's the art of lowering yourself from high ground on a rope. Sometimes you do it by walking down a solid cliff face or wall-but you can also do it just with a rope, dangling in the air and working your way down!
Accompanied by enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructors, your group will escape from Sheffield for an abseiling session in the Castleton/Hathersage area of the Peak District. You'll get the option to do your abseil in a couple of locations, including a free abseil from a bridge into running water! Feel your spine tingle and your heart thump as you inch over the edge - backwards - and let yourself drop into space...
It might be terrifying on the way down, but when you get to the bottom the sense of achievement is absolutely incredible! You'll be screaming for joy and fist-pumping the air. Make sure the girls get you on camera, because this one's going to be a keeper.
