Top 10 Celeb Wedding Dresses Of All Time

Get inspired, stifle a giggle, and be more than just a bit jealous! Here are the top 10 celeb wedding dresses of all time.

It was hard to pick just 10. Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Chelsea Clinton, Hilary Duff - all wore properly stunning gowns. But you've got to draw the line somewhere. Some of the celeb wedding dresses below were chosen for their beauty and elegance. Others not so much! All have one thing in common: for one reason or another, they are iconic.

Grace Kelly

What do you wear on your wedding day if you're a Hollywood star about to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco? Grace Kelly nailed it, or rather designer Helen Rose did, with an ivory masterpiece made up of a bell skirt, high neck lace bodice and pleated waistband. The effect was suitably demure and somehow sexy, thanks to the fact that the tiny waist created an hourglass silhouette. The chapel train was just under 2 metres long. This is easily the top celeb wedding dress of all time. Grace, we salute you!

This gown brings us nicely to...

Kate Middleton

Often compared to Grace Kelly's dress, Kate's wedding gown was called 'regal' and 'timeless' plenty of times. Sister Pippa might have stolen the limelight thanks to that bum-hugging bridesmaid dress but everyone agreed that the delicate lace sleeves, sweetheart neckline and understated elegance of Kate's dress was super appropriate for her new position as Duchess of Cambridge.

Victoria Adams (Posh Spice)

Continuing the royal theme is Victoria Adams or Queen Vic as she was sort of affectionately known in the noughties. Her marriage to David Beckham was a real spectacle. Maybe it was the mini crown she wore. Perhaps it was the thrones they sat on at the reception. A few eyebrows were raised. We all had a giggle about it. But you could not fault that Vera Wang gown! Strapless with structured detail about the bust and a romantic ballgown skirt, this dress made her look like an elfin queen. Which of course she was.

Jordan

Controversial? Yes, but it is iconic. I didn't say anything about tasteful! Love or loathe it, Jordan (Katie Price, whatever) made a huge splash when she wore this lavish fairytale princess dress to marry Peter Andre back in 2005. The edition of OK! magazine in which their wedding pictures appeared was the biggest selling edition to date. If you're judging a gown on the amount of column inches it generated in the press, Jordan's sugar plum fairy confection (often compared to a toilet roll holder) deserves to be on a list of the top 10 celeb wedding dresses of all time. Remember that before My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, there was Jordan's Cinderella wedding. Did one inspire the other? I'd say a big fat yes!

Lady Diana Spencer

Nobody would wear something so ostentatious (or frilly) today but you can't really have a list of top 10 celeb wedding dresses of all time without Princess Di's gown. It's like someone took the 80s and encapsulated everything about it in an ivory silk taffeta wedding dress. Those puff sleeves the size of footballs. That 25ft-long train. All those pearls, sequins and lace. In many ways, it's the ultimate crinoline wedding dress.

Gwen Stefani

Gwen was never going to be a conventional bride. When the No Doubt singer married Gavin Rossdale, she didn't disappoint with her pink dip-dyed John Galliano gown. It looked amazing teamed with a traditional veil.

Bianca Jagger

Years before the 90s and that trend for wearing suit jackets with just a bra underneath, Bianca Jagger wed Mick in 1971 and wore a floppy hat and a cream Yves Saint Laurent suit with (you guessed it!) no bra. If there was one, it was invisible. She looked every inch the rocker's bride.

Audrey Hepburn

You can thank Audrey Hepburn for all those gorgeous tea gown wedding dresses we have to choose from today. When she married co-star Mel Ferrer in 1954, Audrey wore a Balmain tea gown that owed a lot to the one she wore when she starred in Funny Face.

Nicole Richie

Nicole looked like a swan when she married Joel Madden. She actually changed a couple of times but it was the ruffled skirt and backless lace bodice of the Marchesa gown in which she made her vows that was the real showstopper.

Kate Moss

She started the trend for skinny jeans and boots. Then started another for 20s-style wedding gowns when she wed Jamie Hince in 2011, in a John Galliano dress. So famous did it become that it was selected as one of the centerpieces for Wedding Dresses 1775-2014, at London's Victoria & Albert Museum. Undoubtedly one of the top celeb wedding dresses of all time, this is truly an icon.
